Regent Street’s Customise Your Christmas

We can’t get enough of customised gifts at Christmas. As much as everyone claims they make things extra special, they really do add a special touch. Each Friday and Saturday throughout December, 70 Mortimer Street will be offering a complimentary wrapping service, calligraphy and letters to Santa. There’s a biscuit decorating workshop for the kids too!

Pop Up Screens Winter Season

Starting this Friday, Pop Up Screens are opening up for their winter season, so grab some tickets and settle in for a Christmas screening. Performances include Elf, Home Alone, Toy Story and Love Actually. Guests will enter the screening through a magical wardrobe and arrive into a winter wonderland in honour of their showing of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.

Christmas Open Afternoon

Join V22 Workspace Crèche for an open day afternoon filled with Christmas activities for the little ones. The new space is a great place where parents can work in self-contained studios while their children can play and learn safely. The crèche also has access to the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden which they visit each day.

Penguin Skate Club

Christmas in London wouldn’t be Christmas without a trip to one of the many ice rinks dotted around the city. The Natural History Museum is one of our favourite skating hangouts and is great for younger children too. The Penguin Skate club is for those between four to eight years and gives children a chance to slide about on the ice with support from the penguin skating aids.

Harlequins Big Game

One of the biggest sporting events of the year, the Harlequin Big Game is a fantastic family day out. This year the Harlequins at heading to Twickenham stadium in sporting style for their 10-year anniversary, accompanied by off-field entertainment from Scouting For Girls.

Daytime Winter Activities At Kew

Embrace the winter landscape at Kew this season though a selection of seasonal activities. Join the morning storytelling sessions including classic tales with a botanical twist; create your own winter flowers with paper; learn how to identify winter plants. Off-peak day ticket offers apply over the Christmas period too.

Baby Loves Disco’s Christmas Cracker

Boogie on down with Baby Loves Disco this weekend, at their daytime dance party specially for for children between zero and eight years. Enjoy disco hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and the latest pop hits. This is a funky fun-filled activity for children and adults alike. They’ll also be face painting, instruments, play tents, and dance floor games, as well as a chill-out area.

Restaurant of the week: Giraffe, Guildford

We’ve always been huge fans of Giraffe, not only for their happy-hour cocktails, but because they’re super child-friendly. With recipes from around the world, there’s something everyone will enjoy. Obviously this time of year is all about their Christmas specials. Taste Christmas from around the world with turkey de Navidad, Lamb kibbeh, and Middle Eastern salmon. The children’s menu includes katsu chicken, pasta al pomodoro, as well as fish finger and burger options.
