Mini Mozart 

This classical music session which takes place every Friday is a fantastic way to get your children interested in playing instruments. The musicians leading the class promise interactive musical fun for babies and toddlers, as well as bubbles, parachutes and much more!

Bring Your Own Baby Comedy Afternoon 

We love the idea of spending an afternoon at the comedy club and being able to take the baby along. The BYOB Comedy promises top class comics, as well as a place to relax with baby changing, buggy parking, toys and soft flooring. The material can be adult, so there is a 12 months age limit for the little ones.

Storybook Parties from NOTORiOUS KiDS 

This weekend Notorious Kids are teaming up with Bright Emporium for Gordon’s Great Escape, a party adventure like never before! The entertainers will teach the children how to become big balloons like Gordon and head off on a magical adventure. This free taster party is perfect for 3-5 years. If your children are between 4 – 7 years, they will love solving treasure hunt clues in ‘Captain Falsebeard In A Very Fishy Tale‘. Booking is essential, so register as soon as you can.

Ealing 135 Nearly New Sale

Head down to Kingsdown Methodist Church to buy and sell pre-loved items for 0-5 year olds. Get your hands on clothes, toys, pushchairs and any other child and baby care paraphernalia you can think of. We’re sure both you and your little ones will find some great bargains. There will also be tea, coffee, and homemade cakes!

Children’s Dreamcatcher Workshop 

This two hour workshop will teach your children how to get creative with natural resource and make a dreamcatcher. They will be able to take it home with them too!

An Inspector Brunswick Hunt

One for the curious and budding detectives, the Inspector Brunswick Hunt is asking for help to solve a mystery. Find clues hidden throughout the Foyle’s children department in order piece together the puzzle and find the missing artwork. You’ll also have a chance to win a signed copy of Inspector Brunswick: The Case Of The Missing Eyebrow.

Story time with David Litchfield 

Children’s author David Litchfield is hosting a storytelling session to celebrate the launch of his new book Grandad’s Secret Giant. There will be kids’ activities after the reading and even an opportunity to get your copy signed!

Animal Magic 

The little ones will love this multi-sensory storytelling session inspired by animal tales. Be sure to take part in the Art Smarts too, the V&A’s arts and crafts sessions for kids.

Woodlands Family Fun 

Join in the outdoor activities at Queen’s Wood this Sunday. They’ll be storytelling, the mud kitchen, den making, exploring equipment and tree climbing. Healthy snacks and herbal teas will also be on offer.

Get out of town: Hamani (‘blossom viewing’) at Brogdale

Travel down to Kent for the annual Japanese celebration of hamani. Welcome in the warm weather sat beneath the largest collection of fruit trees in the world. Enjoy a relaxing Hanami Picnic, try some Japanese taster snacks and take a guided tour of the orchards.

Heads up: Purple Dragon’s Little Brother

The uber popular Purple Dragon children’s members club in Chelsea has announced it will be opening another club in Putney in June 2017. Purple Dragon have some excellent experiences on offer including art, cooking, music, ballet, jedi training and so much more! The club will serve healthy nutritious food throughout the day and there will be space for adults to relax too. We can’t wait to sign up!

Restaurant of the week: 

Something a little different for our restaurant feature this week: we’re recommending Spitalfields E1. Every Friday Spitalfields hosts a number of food stalls for the Startisans market. There is so much to choose from that we guarantee all the family will find something they like. If you’re fancying breakfast, Le Swine have laid claim to the best bacon butty in London. Don’t miss The Duck Truck for pan-fried duck, duck burgers, and duck fat chips.
