Creative Wiz Kids Parent And Toddler Classes 

Get the little ones involved in art projects, nursery rhymes, storytime, dance classes and musical instruments. These groups are a fantastic way to introduce your child to the arts and getting creative. If you have older children too, look out for the holiday classes hosted by Creative Wiz Kids too.

Baby Massage Courses

We’ve talked a lot about baby massage on My Baba because it can be hugely beneficial for both you and your baby. It teaches you how to observe and interpret your baby’s verbal and non-verbal signals, which in turn will make you feel more confident as a parent. If you’re still unsure of how to get to grips with baby massage, we highly recommend heading along to this baby massage course.

LEGO Star Wars Days at LEGOLAND

Launching this Saturday, Legoland will be hosting an extra special LEGO Star Wars exhibit with a legendary Miniland Model Display and loads of sci-fi themed activities. There will be a chance to meet and greet the Star Wars characters throughout the day and if you turn up in fancy dress there will be some excellent prizes on offer. We strongly advise booking in advance. The special exhibition is included in the normal LEGOLAND ticket price.

Family Bird Song Walk 

Holland Park Ecology Centre are running a family bird walk this weekend to introduce you and your children to all the different types of birds and be able to identify them by their calls. It’s a lovely way to start a Saturday. We recommend that you bring along binoculars if you have them and dress for the outdoors. Click here to book.

IWA Canalway Cavalcade 

This waterways festival will see a pageant of boats sail the waterways, trade stalls and shows, and plenty of family entertainment. The festival offers food, drink, and kids activities, as well as competitions, Morris dancers, real ale bar. It promises to be a pretty exciting weekend!

Daddy & Daughters & Sons 

This cookery class is especially for dads to spend more time with their children. It’s a great opportunity to get all the family involved in cooking. Typically the class make Focaccia bread, sausage rolls, and a variety of other things. It’s a fantastic way to spend a Saturday morning and a great excuse for mum to have a break.

Wild Weekend Festival 

This two-day event held at Woodberry Wetlands is designed to introduce novices to the natural world and also excite experienced wildlife experts. The drop-in festival will be hosting a wide range of nature workshops, live music, talks and debates, guided walks and much more! There will be refreshments from the Coal House Café and an outdoor farmers’ market selling locally sourced organic produce. Entry is free and we can guarantee there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Kids Film Club: Les Nouvelles Aventures De Pat Et De Mat 

A wordless French film for children featuring Pat and Mat, this film promises to entertain all ages. In their latest adventure, handymen Pat and Mat take a DIY adventure through comic energy and imagination.

World Street Food Market 

Experience international food from around the world simply by visiting the Acklam Village Market, right at the heart of Portobello Road. Meet the chefs and traders and look no further to find African, Chinese, Cuban, English, French, Greek, Moroccan, Mexican, Palestinian, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Venezuelan Street Food and much more.

Get out of town: Aqua Park Floating Obstacle Course 

Aflex Aqua Park is due to reopen this weekend and it promises more splash-tastic fun than ever. The floating obstacle course in Chertsey offers amusement for all ages. Enjoy an hour-long session clambering over tricky obstacles full of slides, rope swings and obstacle courses. The course is recommended for eight years and above but younger children may go if accompanied by an adult.

Tickets go on sale Friday 27th April for CarFest 2017. Offering a medley of incredible cars, great food, live music and a rich mix of family entertainment, this year’s festivals will be bursting with fun for all ages.

One for the adults: Canopy Market

The hugely successful Canopy Market is returning to King’s Cross this weekend and promises to be bigger and better than ever before! There will be a fantastic selection of finger-lickin’ street, some cracking craft beers, accompanied with live music and DJs. We’re hugely excited to sample some of Bad Brownie’s devilishly sweet treats and try out some specially hand-selected cheeses from the Borough Cheese Company. If you’re not a cheese or chocolate fanatic, there’s plenty more to choose from including Italian and Greek delicacies. After filling up on food and drink, saunter about the stalls and shop some vintage finds, art works, and ethical products. The market will be running for one weekend every month ongoing. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Restaurant of the week: Pizza East, Portobello

This delightful pizzeria is located in the heart of the Portobello market – a perfect follow up for a family day out and about around Portobello Road. Expect ciabatta-style pizzas, wood oven-cooked meats, and tantalising sweet dessert treats including a salted caramel tart. They are very welcoming to families and children, with a special kids menu too!
