This is a follow-on from the mood board that the wonderful Caroline did, for the Design Centre’s Easter party.
I could hardly believe my eyes when I walked into the Design Centre last week, which has been transformed into an Easter hunt paradise. The first thing to catch my eye was the tram lines of white Jelly Cat bunnies, that were to be given as going home presents, along with hand-block muslin bags. The Little People’s Bar came next, with mounds of popcorn and delicious milkshakes served in tiny little bottles.
There were crafts galore, from making your own bonnet, to face painting, rabbit and chick handling, and even a little pony with a unicorn’s horn. The fabulous Sharky and George were also there to keep the older ones amused.
One of my favourite things had to be the bindles which had been planted in flower pots, and held each child’s picnic tea, which they ate on hay bales and cushions that made shapes around the bar.
After tea, there were more fun and games, and the Easter egg hunt led by a giant bunny, who patiently took photos of one and all. It really was a spectacular party and I’m already dreaming of next year.
