I’m about to host my best friend’s baby shower this coming January, and she’s confused as to which products to put her on wish-list. Maddie is six months now, (almost seven!) and I thought I’d put together the list of products we use most right now.
These products are mostly supplementary to the basic equipment you’ll already have for your baba, but does include our preferences for baby bath, changing mat, wipes, wash and nappy creams – Shnuggle’s products we’ve found invaluable. The rest of this column includes the many gadgets and gizmos she’s tried, tested and loved along the way, most being pretty self explanatory.
The Anker SoundCore is something I bought to use during labour – hoping we’d get to do hypnobirthing. A C-section later, that was not to be, but this nifty little sound system is used every day in our house to keep Maddie entertained. It links up to your iPhone so you can play your iTunes – there are no excuses – get downloading the Disney albums now! I’ve included the Banz ear defenders, so many times we’ve been caught out and about somewhere loud, so I purchased this pair from Amazon. I remember when she was about 5 weeks old, we went to my cousin’s wedding, unbeknown to us they had a live band there. I felt so sorry for her ears! We kept her well away from the music, but having tinnitus from being in a band in my twenties myself, I don’t want to take any chances.
The two lifesaving products we use all day long are the floor seat, and the jumperoo. Maddie is not a baby that likes to lie back – she INSISTS on sitting up or standing up – and these two products mean we don’t have to hold her up in place all day long. Oh, and last but not least, the BEST Christmas present ever, from Auntie Christina – the Fisher Price BeatBelle. She absolutely loves it – and of course – the ears on it are chewable.
Are there any products you think should be added to my list? Please comment with your recommendations below 🙂
