Sewing in Primose Hill

This shop in Primrose Hill teaches little ones from age five to sew by hand during drop-in classes, and children over eight, can take machine sewing lessons to make little critters, dolls or other items from pattern (you just may have a Sarah Burton in the making). Easter holiday workshops available too.

HMS Belfast at 75

In celebration of the 75th anniversary since the launch of the HMS Belfast, exciting activities will be taking place including re-enactments, simulated gun firing, and live radio transmissions along with Morse Code lessons. There are also plaster casting craft workshops and Irish music to keep everyone jolly.

The Big Dig and Seed Swap in Twickenham

The recently refurbished Strawberry Hill is hosting a Big Day event this weekend with sowing demonstrations, seed swapping and opportunities for kids to plant vegetables in the gardens. If you live locally, have a look at their schedule as many drop in family events are planned.

St Patrick’s Day Parade in West End

Sunday

The annual Day of all things Irish and green is back in London with a parade through town and many events to join in. Marching bands, floats, a food market and a dedicated children’s area with crafts, dance and Gaelic football. There are also family friendly festivities at the London Irish Centre

VENUE: Trafalgar Square and all throughout the West end
