It’s Black History Month and to celebrate, here’s our list of 15 toys and books to help our children learn about Black history. We’ve chosen toys that promote awareness and positive inclusivity to celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
Discussing Black history with our children through the use of toys and books is a great way of teaching each new generation that history is not a passive subject but an ongoing narrative shaped by the actions and choices of individuals. By sharing stories of Black leaders, artists, scientists, and activists, we inspire children to believe in their own capacity to effect positive change in the world. Talking to children about Black History Month is an essential step towards building a more inclusive and empathetic world.
