The journey to living a healthy life starts by getting to know yourself from the inside out. First, you need to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Ask yourself: what do I want to change about myself / my life? Then, set your goals!

Here are 5 steps that will help you achieve the new you:

SET YOUR GOALS: know what you want! It’s the only way to achieve the results you desire. Make sure you create specific, realistic and attainable goals. Put together a time-table and set deadlines.

ASK YOURSELF WHY: understand the reason behind your goals. It will help you to try and achieve them. Ask yourself: why do I want to lose weight, tone my arms and / or eat healthily? Will it make me happier? Remember to ask yourself “why”!

KEEP ACTIVE: play with your children, visit family/ friends, or go for a walk with your dog. Yes, you heard me. Keep active! Get more involved in your children’s extra curricular activities; take them out for a stroll in the park, or a bike ride. If that’s not your thing, then put on some music and dance around the house together. Kids love to do crazy things with mama!

SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS: get rid of all the junk food in the cupboard. Always keep a gym bag in the car. Surround yourself with positive and dynamic people. Be prepared and happy!

THINK POSITIVE: positive thinking will take you wherever you want to be. Everything happens for a reason and everything works out for the best. Keep smiling and go on to achieve a brand NEW YOU!
