Agricology, A Site for Sustainable Agriculture My Baba 27 November, 2015 Features I’m excited to be going to the launch of a brilliant new website today, called ‘Agricology‘. Agricology is a online resource hub that puts scientific research into practical advice to help farmers become not just more profitable, but more sustainable, whilst protecting our environment at the same time. The site has been founded by three charitable organisations, namely The Daylesford foundation, The Organic Research Centre and the Allerton Project. Agricology will be led by a group of experts in the world of agriculture and horticulture, who represent a range of farming principles, including organic, integrated, conventional, bio-dynamic, agroforestry and permaculture. The main aims will cover improving soil, minimising disease, utilising grassland, reducing antibiotics, and encouraging biodiversity, pollinators, and other beneficial insects. Going into the future, the site will also include a news page, a blog, and many events and workshops organised by Agricology partners. This is a fascinating website and I’ll be watching this space closely.
