Balloon Play for Newborns

Make sure you follow my baby activities board on Pinterest for more ideas, and don’t forget to save the pin for later.

“How can newborns play with balloons?” I hear you ask. Quite simply actually. Obviously they can’t play with them the same way that we can, but they can still get a lot of enjoyment out of them.

You will need:

  • A helium balloon

Create a loop out of the sting so that it can easily slip on and off of the baby’s leg.

Then every time that the baby kicks or moves their leg the balloon will move.

It helps to develop their gross motor skills.

BB’s little face was a true picture when I put the string around his leg. He was fascinated with the actual balloon and was full of smiles when he realised that he was making the balloon move.
