Protecting Our Tomorrows is a unique global photography project being led by international photographer Anne Geddes, which aims to raise awareness of deadly bacterial meningitis and encourage parents to be vigilant for the signs and symptoms.
Meningococcal disease is a sudden, life-threatening illness that manifests as bacterial meningitis – an infection of the membrane around the brain and spine – and sepsis – a bloodstream infection.
These thought-provoking portraits, along with others featuring meningitis survivors and their families from around the world, will be featured in a new Protecting Our Tomorrowse-book, to be launched through iBooks on World Meningitis Day, 24 April 2014.
Given that meningitis is such an important health issue for parents My Baba are supporting this new campaign and helping to spread the word by posting these images.
