We’ve been testing out the brand new Maxi-Cosi Mica 360 spin car seat, and here are 5 reasons we love it. (Press play for the official video on how to install!)
This is Maxi-Cosi’s first 360 spin seat. The ability to rotate your child’s car seat 360 or even 180 degrees is fast becoming a must for parents, as it protects against the stresses and strains of lifting.
A car seat that offers a 360 rotation is brilliant for mamas still recovering from birth, and for any parent or caregiver suffering from back issues. A rotating car seat makes loading the kids into the car so much easier.
The Maxi-Cosi Mica offers both forward and rearward facing travel from birth up until the age of four years.
We’re huge advocates of rearward facing car seat travel. It’s important to consider investing in a seat that allows your child to rearward face for as long as possible. Research shows that rearward-facing seats provide greater protection for your baby’s head, neck, and spine than forward-facing seats.
As you’d expect from Maxi-Cosi, the Mica offers the ultimate in comfort for your little one. The seat incorporates a padded 3-point harness with one-pull tightening system. The headrest is made from memory foam, and the seat is plushy padded with built-in back ventilation to keep your little one cool at all times.
The Mica reclines in both rear and forward-facing positions, making it easy for your child to nap on the go.

An industry leader in car seat safety, Maxi-Cosi has ensured the Mica meets the highest safety standards.
An i-Size car seat, the Mica is designed to be used with an ISOFIX base, which means super easy installation with complete peace of mind. The ISOFIX anchor points and visual indicators on the Mica will let you know when the seat is installed correctly.
The seat also incorporates Maxi-Cosi’s superior G-Cell technology, to provide the absolute maximum protection in the event of a side impact.
G-CELL is the next generation of crash absorbing technology, a patented innovation from Maxi-Cosi. Inspired by nature, G-CELL technology takes on a hexagonal shape, a bit like a honeycomb or a snowflake. In case of a side collision, the Mica’s car seat’s G-Cell technology will help to reduce the impact on your child’s body, especially for the shoulder area.
It’s a fact: car seats get messy. When purchasing a car seat, it’s always best to check out just how easy it is to remove parts and wash them. Maxi-Cosi has transported well over 50 million babies home from hospital, and experience has taught them well. The Mica’s interiors are easily removed and can be washing in the washing machine.
Maxi-Cosi Mica (RRP £299) will be available in signature Authentic Black, Authentic Graphite and Authentic Grey from January 2020 and will be available from all good nursery retailers. For more information go to www.maxi-cosi.co.uk.
