We’ve been following Father Christmas’s movements very closely to plot exactly when and where he’ll be appearing with his entourage of reindeer and elves at grottos in and outside of London this year. The officials at the North Pole have given us this insider information, so you can get booking your Christmas grotto experience asap!

On Thursday, 19th December, from 4pm till 9pm, Visit Santa’s Grotto at Goodman’s Fields for some last-minute Christmas cheer and a gift. You will be able to see Santa’s reindeer as they take a rest before their big night, then snap a #sleighselfie on Santa’s sleigh. Head to the piazza & enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate or mulled wine along with a mince pie from Sainsbury’s.
The Chelsea Christmas Grotto has teamed up with legendary children’s entertainers Sharky & George to give you an hour long festive experience like no other.
Start off with 30 minutes of classic Sharky & George games before entering Father Christmas’s workshop. Father Christmas himself will read to the children before a one-to-one meeting with each child, where they will receive a gift from under the tree. The children will then be able try their hand at gingerbread biscuit or bauble decorating.
With over one million twinkling lights of every colour imaginable, Kew Garden’s Christmas tour is truly magical.
This will be it’s seventh year and they’re taking a magical new route, which will include a host of all-new installations. Laser projections will illuminate the iconic Temperate House this year and you can also walk through the dazzling arch which leads to a cascade of glowing shards at the Treetop Walkway.
There’ll also be some familiar favourites including the stunning tunnel of light and the singing Holly bushes. Complete your trip with the Palm House Pond finale where jumping jets of light dance across the water to Christmas classics.
There will also be a Victorian carousel and other family rides. Don’t forget to look out for Father Christmas and his elves along the way.
Have a sleepover at Legoland with a special twist this Christmas. Enjoy some festive fun including an elves’ magic show and a personal Father Christmas meet and greet in his grotto.
While you’re there little helpers will be needed to build LEGO gifts that they’ll be able to take home. You can also enjoy access to Legoland at Christmas, with limited rides and shows, splash and play in the indoor water play area and swimming pool and enjoy festive evening entertainment for the whole family.

Set sail with Santa and City Cruises this festive season. Children can enjoy a cruise down the Thames and to meet Santa as he swaps his sleigh for a boat. Each child will get a present from the big man and will also get a cookie and a drink. Adults can also enjoy the trip with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie!

While all the animals are tucked up in bed, take a night stroll through ZSL London Zoo and explore the magical after dark illuminated trail. Travel through the light vortex and see the larger-than-life, illuminated wild animal sculptures. Try and see if you can get a glimpse of Father Christmas and his elves along the way.
