How to Create A Luxury Nursery Fit For A Prince My Baba 30 September, 2016 Features, Kids Room, Living When it comes to luxury interiors for children, Gigi Brooks certainly knows a thing or two. People are always asking us for inspiration on children’s interiors, and in particular, nurseries and playrooms. We got in touch with Gigi Brooks to set them the challenge of creating a luxury nursery fit for prince. Their interior designer Laura has pulled together a few beautiful mood boards based on Leonora’s own room at home. Laura explained the design to Leonora: This young princes’s first bedroom centres around a charming and classical colour palette of soft blues, warm greys with hints of deep luxurious navy and splashes of eye-catching orange. A sophisticated geometric carpet beautifully matches the blue hues of the fun and whimsical Balloon wallpaper, which sits as a feature wall behind the gorgeous Belmont Convertible Cot. This cot can continue to be the feature of your little one’s room with the benefit of its conversion kit, which enables the bed to grow with your child. I suggest bringing a contemporary twist to your nursery by having the feature cot in a darker dusk finish so that it makes a statement against the french white finish of other furniture pieces. For a cleaner look, we’d ensure all furniture pieces are in the same finish, with both options being equally beautiful. For the remaining walls in your nursery I have suggested a Barley There Wallpaper in Almond; this lovely rich colour will add to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the room along with a Cream Shaggy Raggy Rug. Accents of the luxurious navy are brought in through the glider chair and curtains, adding to this cocooning affect, while pops of orange in artwork and soft furnishings prevent the space from looking dark and add a sense of fun child’s play to your nursery. Layout is one of the key considerations to every nursery and is often a factor that is overlooked. Gigi Brooks works with customers to create a functional space that is easy for mother to use but is also a soothing and beautiful room that both mother and baby will love to be in. The initial conversation with your own dedicated Gigi Brooks’ designer is your chance to discuss all your dreams and ideas for your luxury nursery, bedroom or playroom. Following this brainstorm, your designer will send you your own unique mood boards showcasing your lovely new design. These boards enable you to see how your designer has interpreted your ideas and will give you plenty to discuss during your phone consultation to progress and develop your design into the perfect space for your and your child.
