This is the first in our new weekly column, entitled ‘Date Night’ – because it’s not always just about the kids. Each week we’ll be seeking out the best places in London and Greater London when it comes to bars and restaurants, to provide time-strapped parents with inspiration on where to book for a fun and super-cool date night. We pick the restaurant, select a nearby bar for drinks beforehand, and we even put together an outfit suggestion, fit for the night out in question, so all you need to do is book. Too easy!
This is our outfit of choice, not too dressed up and not too dressed down, perfect for date night! We’ve paired up a gorgeous pleated midi skirt, loose fitting to keep you comfortable during the date, with a simple camisole and bomber. We’ve also accessorised with a pair of square pin earring, to give it a little extra something, along with a navy cross body bag and some espadrilles to match your jacket.

Pre Dinner Drinks:
The WC sign by the tube station, once an indication of a public toilet, is now the super-cool Wine & Charcuterie. A beautiful bar that still contains many of its original features, such as an entrance led by a victorian stairway, and its beautiful floor and wall tiles. It is sure to transport you into an other worldly experience, and if that’s not enough we’ve heard the cheese board is to die for!
Where to eat:
Tsunami in Clapham is still one of my favourite restaurants in the area. It first opened its doors in 2001 and was recently refurbished last year. The cocktails are delicious, and the food is delicately put together, and in a word – delicious. If you’re a fan of sushi then this is definitely the place to head, although it’s worth noting that it’s not a strictly fish-only restaurant. They also have a late licence if your baby sitter permits!
