I saw my Osteopath Dr Nicholas Potter today and he was telling me how many fatal and serious injuries he sees on a regular basis resulting from people diving into open water. He urged me to spread the word that one should never dive without knowing what’s underneath.

It’s a sombre warning that should apply to both adults and children. If you must throw caution to the wind, always JUMP and never dive. You can live without your legs, but if you break your neck there are no second chances.

The saying goes: IF IN DOUBT, CHECK IT OUT. IF IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT.
