Finally! The royal baby name has been revealed!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finally revealed the name of their new baby boy. The royal baby has been named Louis Arthur Charles. This follows a four day wait after the birth on 23 April, St George’s Day.

The name was announced in a tweet on the Kensington Palace Twitter account. The Twitter account was used to reveal the name of Princess Charlotte in 2015.

The baby was born at 11am on 23 April at St Mary’s hospital and weighed 8lbs 7oz.

Prince William has reported that his youngest is doing “really well” and is “behaving himself”. The Duke of Cambridge was spotted struggling to stay awake at a service at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday.

The list of most popular baby names for 2018 is yet to be announced, but here’s a look at expected name trends for 2018.

Space names, including Luna, Stella, and Nova are expected to be popular in 2018. Gender crossover names, such as Teddy, Noel, and Aubrey will be chosen a lot more. Also, ‘bad boy’ names like Ronnie, Reggie and Kato are also rising in popularity. Read the full list here.

The most disliked names are those with double-barrels (for example Tyler-Joe), those with unusual spellings, and those named after sports teams.

Families who give their children names with the same letter has also fallen out of fashion.
