With the imminent arrival of the royal bambino I’ve been thinking a lot about presents for newborns and new mamas. Pieces fit for royalty!

A nappy bag is always a good place to start, and luckily for me my sister-in-law has, in my opinion, the best one out there. She’s got three children herself and knows what’s needed. I love Pink Lining’s pretty Mama et Bebe, the perfect size for a new mama.

A baby grow is always a nice present for a newborn and Mini-la-Mode sells beautiful old fashioned, soft little numbers, which you can buy at the Nursery Window. I’ve also always been a huge fan of Marie Chantal’s Angel Wing onesie, the good news for summer babies is that she’s just launched a new style in a lighter weight, making it perfect for summertime.

To me, the key for keeping sane after giving birth is to try and get some sleep, and one of my favourite presents is to give a night’s babysitting with a trained maternity nurse from Night Nannies

My husband bought my daughter this gorgeous activity block from Tartine et Chocolat which looks adorable in any nursery. I might be slightly biased, but my mother-in-law’s Baby Bamford products are truly the best, I use them on the whole family, and this gorgeous baby basket from Gift Library sure hits the spot.

One of my favourite presents was a Beatrix Potter Wedgewood Peter Rabbit set, it’s filled with nostalgia, and always makes me smile.

If you’re looking for something silver, the French shop Ovale is pretty incredible and this is wihout a doubt the chicest rattle I’ve found.

Where would we be without JellyCat and their genius teddies? I love this Bashful Bunny Musical Star from Trotters, which when pulled, plays an adorable lullaby.

Last, but not least, if it’s the mama you wish to spoil, you can’t go wrong with a wonderful box of goodies from Baby Box London. Tailor-made or ready to buy, there’s literally something for everyone.
