Hangloose Adventure Bluewater: A Family Adrenaline Day Out We Won’t Forget

Finding activities that genuinely appeal to everyone in the family can sometimes be a challenge. With children wanting excitement, parents looking for something memorable and grandparents not wanting to be left out, the perfect family day out needs to offer something a little different.

That’s exactly what we found at Hangloose Adventure Bluewater.

This weekend, my brother, my dad, my daughter and I headed to Hangloose Adventure to take on the Skywire, and it turned out to be one of those experiences that we will all be talking about for a long time.

From the moment we arrived, there was a real buzz of excitement. My daughter, who is 11 and always looking for her next adrenaline rush, was absolutely thrilled. Meanwhile, my dad, who is in his 70s, was just as excited to join in, proving that adventure really can be enjoyed at any age.

Taking on the Skywire

The Skywire is the main attraction at Hangloose Adventure Bluewater and is England’s longest zipline, stretching 720 metres across the site with views over the lakes and surrounding landscape.

Before taking to the zipline, we were given a full safety briefing and fitted with all the necessary equipment. The team were brilliant throughout, making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident before we headed up.

The best part? We were able to go down together as a group of four, which made the whole experience even more special. Sharing that moment together, flying through the air side by side, was something we will all remember.

The Perfect Mix of Excitement and Fun

There was definitely a nervous excitement beforehand, especially when you are standing at the top waiting for your turn, but as soon as we launched, it was incredible.

My daughter absolutely loved every second. She was smiling from ear to ear and immediately wanted to know what we could do next. Seeing her enjoy the thrill and embrace something new was fantastic.

What surprised me most was how much my dad enjoyed it too. I think we all expected him to be slightly more cautious, but he was fully on board and loved being part of the adventure. It was such a lovely thing to experience together as three generations of our family.

More Than Just an Adrenaline Activity

While the Skywire is definitely a thrill-seeking experience, what makes it such a great family activity is that it creates memories rather than just ticking off an attraction.

We laughed, encouraged each other and had plenty to talk about afterwards. It was one of those days where everyone put their phones away, stepped outside their comfort zone and enjoyed something together.

Hangloose Adventure Bluewater also offers a range of other activities, including the Giant Swing, Skytrek high ropes course, outdoor skydive experience and Inflatable Water Park, making it a great option if you want to build a full adventure day.

Great Value for Families and Groups

One thing we also loved was how easy Hangloose Adventure makes it for families and groups to enjoy the experience together. With dedicated family and group booking options available, it offers excellent value, making an adventurous day out more accessible and affordable.

Whether you’re planning a day out with the children, celebrating a birthday, getting the wider family together or organising a group of friends, the discounted booking options mean you can experience the thrills together without the cost quickly adding up. After experiencing the Skywire as a group of four, we can honestly say that sharing the adventure made it even more memorable.

Would We Recommend Hangloose Adventure?

Absolutely.

The Skywire was the perfect choice for our family because it gave everyone something to enjoy. My daughter got the adrenaline rush she was looking for, my dad proved that age really is just a number, and we all came away with a brilliant shared memory.

Whether you have thrill-seeking children, adventurous adults or simply want to try something different as a family, Hangloose Adventure Bluewater is definitely worth adding to your list.

Sometimes the best family days out are the ones that make you a little nervous beforehand and leave you smiling afterwards, and this was certainly one of those days.
