I fell into Mark Hix’s new restaurant in Belgravia quite by chance, it was 5.30pm and my children were both hungry. Seeing a glimmer of light we poked our head around the door and asked if they were open. Front of house couldn’t have been sweeter and within minutes the children were in high chairs with piles of fresh warm bread in front of them. 

The waiter could see we were in a hurry and immediately suggested burgers for my son, and asked if they could rustle up some baby purée for my daughter. My son’s eyes lit up when three perfect little burgers arrived on a wooden board, teamed with a cone of delicious thin chips. We finished off with fresh fruit sorbets.

Although it’s a grown up restaurant, Hix have a great children’s menu and couldn’t have been more helpful. I will definitely take them again for a treat with my husband.
