For a couple that have yet to round-up their wedding photos and arrange them in an album this photobook is a real achievement for us! We used Bob Books to put together this fantastic photobook of Maddie’s first year, including some of our wonderful shots by Perfocal and Carly Michael.
Choose your photos & your book
You’ll need to decide on the size of your photobook, the type of paper and cover. There are lots of options available, from square books perfect for Instagram shots, to landscape and portrait photobooks that would look impressive on any coffee table.
Your next job is to gather up your photos and keep them on your desktop in an album. If you’re looking to include lots of photos, it’s worth numbering each one for ease of upload.
Book design software
There are four different ways of creating your photobook, but the recommended method is via their very own easy-to-use software Bob Designer. Bob Designer can be easily downloaded to your computer, and the software looks like this (image below). You’ll see your uploaded photos on the left-hand-side with your book template in your chosen dimensions on the right.
You can choose from various different layouts, experiment with different backgrounds, clipart and frames to create a truly unique photobook. I kept mine simple, so I could pack in as many photos as possible.
What’s cool about Bob Books is you can publish your finished book so that your family and friends can order copies too. You can choose who views your book and cheekily, add an author mark-up to earn royalties fro your sale!
You can also use your adorable baby photos to create lots of other keepsakes, calendars, wall art, canvas prints and posters – it’s the perfect place to head for Christmas gifts for the grandparents!
