Leading fertility and IVF online magazine IVF Babble are giving away 15 free IVF cycles to lucky readers to mark the 40th birthday of the world’s first IVF baby, Louise Brown.
More than eight million babies have been born using the revolutionary techniques of IVF pioneers’ Dr Robert Edwards, Sir Patrick Steptoe and Jean Purdy, and we think that’s something very special worth celebrating.
World’s top fertility clinics
Babble founders Tracey Bambrough and Sara Marshall-Page have worked tirelessly to secure free cycles with the world’s top fertility clinics to give the gift of hope to 15 couples.

Tracey, who has three-year-old twins via IVF, said both she and Sara have witnessed first-hand the heartache that IVF can bring and now even more so with many Clinical Commissioning Groups CCGs) withdrawing funding for couples to realise their dream.
She said: “When we realised what was happening in the NHS we wanted to do what we could to help those who were left bereft by the decisions being made. We obviously can’t help everyone, but what we can do is help some.
“We want the giveaway to be part of the celebration of Louise and the IVF pioneers’ legacy, but also to raise awareness of what is currently happening in the UK.”
The magazine has joined forces with Fertility Network UK and started a petition, calling for fertility fairness and equality in the UK, which already has more than 12,000 signatures.
Sara, who has seven-year-old IVF twins, said: “We are determined to get this issue properly debated in parliament. What is going is cruel and needs to be stopped. The affects of being denied NHS treatment is going to have a hugely negative affect on mental health services and could see many thousands of people plunged into debt for something that should be readily available and fair for all.”
