I was so happy to get my copy of Jane Clarke’s Complete Family Nutrition. The book is released this week.
Jane’s main objective is getting families to eat healthily without obsesing about all of the complexities and specific nutrients in each meal. Jane wants to teach us about key foods to include in one’s daily diet, creating nutritious and delicious meals without spending hours in the kitchen.
It’s a guide that starts from babyhood and goes all the way through to old age, so this book really is a one-stop-shop. Jane tackles specific health issues such as digestion, skin and hair complaints, how to boost energy and relieve stress. She also talks about going organic, cutting out sugar, and coping with allergies. In addition to all this, there are some very interesting chapters on how to deal with weight issues in children and teenagers. There are 50 yummy recipes with healthy twists, complete with nutritional information for each one.
All in all, a really great read and a book I’ll be recahing for, for many years to come.
