You live in the beautiful coastal village of Strandhill in County Sligo in West Ireland . Where are the best family-friendly places to go, and how would you spend a perfect family weekend?

We love the beach and anywhere outdoors. There are some beautiful coastal parts of England and Ireland. If the weather is nice we always head to the beach to walk our dog and play with our son, it’s a great way to burn energy in busy little boys! ?

You’re an actress and a singer, best known for your part as Debbie Dean in Hollyoaks.  What was it like being part of such a successful soap, are all the cast and crew close?

I loved my years in Hollyoaks. It was like college for me and I met some lifelong friends there. I really had no idea of the success, I was just in a happy little bubble!

You and your husband both juggle such successful high profile careers with parenthood. What’s your secret?

To be honest, my secret to parenting is to try and be with my son more than doing anything else really. At this point in my life I don’t want to miss moments in his young life, everything else comes second. My family is my whole world.

The nation witnessed your emotional reunion with Kian, crowned King of the Jungle on “I’m a Celebrity”, after which he announced that he wanted to start trying for another baby. Are you busy making plans for a new addition, and what would you do differently the second time around?

We would love a second when the time is right. The only thing I would do differently is try not to eat so much pizza in my third trimester! I ate really well in the first two and then just went crazy on bad carbs, so only good ones next time! ?

You’ve been named three times in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women – how have you managed to stay looking so fabulous post children? What’s your secret?

I love juicing and I also love eating. I hate the gym but I do feel so much better when I have been active. Like most women I go through phases of healthy eating and exercise but then I have my bad binges too. There is no secret, it is hard work getting your figure back so I just did it slowly at my own pace… It only took two years!

What’s on your to-do list this week?

Eat healthily and go to the gym, but in reality I will probably do a couple of play dates that involve coffee and cake.

What’s the one baby product you couldn’t have lived without?

Wipes. All mothers need wipes!

Was it always your dream to be an actress/ singer?

Acting, singing and dancing were always my dream from a young age. But your dreams change as you get older and now my dreams are more about my son and husband and making memories with them.

What’s in the pipeline for you next?

Who knows. I have been very lucky this far so whatever happens I hope it involves lots of happiness. ?

How would you sum yourself up in one sentence?

Tell us a bit about the campaign ‘Give Up Clothes for Good‘, how are you involved and what can our readers do to help?

The campaign asks the public to clear out their wardrobes and drop off unwanted clothes to TK Maxx stores. The clothes and accessories are then sold on by Cancer Research to raise money for research into childhood cancers.

I was so pleased to lend my support to this campaign as it’s such an amazing cause. I’m a mum and I can’t imagine what it is like for parents with children who have cancer, it’s something you would never want to go through. So please join me and show your support by donating your clothes today!
