Global baby brand Joie has launched the Joie Signature Calmi R129, a lie-flat car cot that combines comfort with safety, to allow your baby to sleep soundly from stroller to car. We were excited to try it out.

The Joie Calmi is a luxurious car seat tested against tough R129 safety standards. Made with soft-knit, plush fabrics and deluxe cushioning for the snuggliest sleeping place, the car seat carry cot combo is designed to keep little passengers safe and secure in a 180^o lie-flat position.

The carry cot positions baby’s head at the safest point in the vehicle to offer increased side impact protection. There’s a cosy newborn insert to keep your newborn’s body and head properly positioned with full support for little necks and spines, so you can enjoy longer car journeys.

Joie’s Calmi pairs with the newly launched i-BaseTM Encore. Lock the car cot in and click it off using effortless ISOFIX connectors for complete peace of mind.

Buckling up is a breeze with the car seat’s easy buckle 3-point harness and ultra-smooth release buttons. The harness has softly padded covers for extra comfort, and benefits from a one-pull motion, so you can tighten the harness without the fuss. There’s even an adjustable carry handle to help you lift Calmi off the base and onto your pushchair frame, all without disruption to your sleeping bundle.

Calmi R129 pairs easily with Joie’s Aeria and Finiti pushchairs using adapters, so you’ve got options when it comes to how you want to transport your precious bundle.
