I remember after I finished breastfeeding my son Jago, one of the first things I did was throw away the revolting oversized, greying feeding bras I had bought from John Lewis. These had served their purpose perfectly but there was nothing remotely attractive or god forbid sexy about them.

Now, if you’re anything like me when you’re breastfeeding you don’t feel particularly sexy anyway, but it’s nice to feel feminine and pretty nonetheless, so I was delighted to come across the lingerie brand Amoralia during my second pregnancy (I am due on the 17th September).

The British label was set up by Jules Canterbury, whose brilliant multi-functional bras will become your
best friend during pregnancy and feeding. I particularly like the Second Skin Organic sleep bra which is breathable so you get less sweaty but is also designed for easy nursing at night with a cross-over front design. It feels wonderfully soft against your skin, and best of all, unlike my previous breastfeeding bras, it doesn’t matter how much you wear it it still looks great.

The bras are priced from £30 and briefs from £18 and available from Amoralia or Kiddicare stores nationwide.
