A lot has changed when it comes to weaning since I had my last baby. The new steamers on the market are almost like robots! So, to see what is out there for us mamas at the moment, I tried out some of the latest steamers.
First up, we had the Tommee Tippee Baby Food Steamer Blender. I know they’ve had a bit of bad press recently with their milk machine, but their steamer did not disappoint. You can set the machine to a specific steam time and blend time so it basically does everything in one go! Very useful for when you’re in a rush and trying to multitask!
On day 2, I tried out the Philips AVENT 4-in-1 Baby Food Maker. This model was just as easy to use as the Tommee Tippee I tried the day before. The great thing about this one is when the steaming is finished, all you have to do is chuck the jug upside down and hit blend! Another very compact and multipurpose piece of equipment.
Day 3 saw us using the Béaba Babycook steamer. With my first son I used the original Béaba, but this new version is even easier. All you have you do is chuck the vegetables in, pour the water into the chamber, lid down and off you go. This is a really good one if space is tight in your kitchen as it is so compact.
I have to say, I was a bit worried about trying all of these steamers out as I am a creature of habit and absolutely useless with electronics, but with all of three of these it couldn’t have been easier to set up or understand. Making fresh food has never been easier!
