I love Father’s Day, being able to have a Sunday when you can really look after your husband. Mine does so much for me and the children and his weekends are normally spent running around looking after us.
This Father’s Day I’m going to creep out of bed early and grab the kids before they have time to wake him.
A nice lie-in should start the day off well, followed by a sausage and bacon sarnie in bed! Snuggles and cartoons for the next hour and then a nice warm bath. My husband is an avid biker so if he wants to go off for a nice ride, I’ll have his kit waiting and the bath can stand by.
For the rest of the day, it’s up to him. Nothing on the agenda or planned, just a simple, relaxed family Sunday with, of course, a full English roast!
When it comes to presents I usually take the children to Emma Bridgewater’s pottery cafe and paint a couple of cereal bowls to add to his growing collection. I’ve also pulled together some other Father’s Day ideas from the easy on the wallet to the, ‘in his wildest dreams!’. I hope you find it helpful!
