I’d always dreamt of having a daughter and I’ve got to say a girlie pink nursery is not a hard thing to dream up. I love this Egeby Rug from Ikea, they come in lots of sizes with different colour borders and they’re very forgiving with spills, maybe not so forgiving but scrumptious on the feet is this adorable Sheepskin Rug by Habitat, my mother bought me one as a little girl and I still have it next to my bed at my family home.
I fell in love with this little bed from Grange, I love the little heart detail, and the built-in side table. It’s a bed fit for a princess. I’ve also been crazy about the Chic Shack and I think this little desk is dreamy and the wardrobe would suit any room.
I definitely think you can go overboard on pink and make it look too sickly, but i love the idea of painting the woodwork, cornicing and architrave in ‘Her Sunday Best’, this goregous dusty pink from The Nursery Paint Company. I also love the idea of Belle and Boo’s wall stickers because they’re not forever, but they bring a little bit of magic to a room.
The little chest is one of my favourites for both boys and girls from Posh Box, and the personal touch is quite sweet, and somewhere they can keep their treasures forever. A child’s chair is not always necessary in a nursery but I can’t resist this adorable rattan chair from Ikea at at £15 it is a bit of a bargain.
Lastly, a children’s nursery is never finished without a little night light and I love this little rabbit from What a Lovely Shop.
