To keep the children entertained during the party here is a romantic recipe with a sweet result! No baking involved so they are perfect for making with the kids, just go for it…here’s how

  • Melt 4 cups of mini-marshmallows in a pan with 3 tablespoons of butter
  • Add three drops of red food colouring and stir
  • Dump in 6 cups of Rice Krispies and stir again
  • Press into a greased pan, and let cool for two or three minutes
  • Flip the pan of treats out onto a cutting board
  • Cut out heart shapes with cookie cutters
  • Cool a little longer, then eat!

And what a better way to end the party than by giving the children some heart-themed party bags to take home. These include some bubbles, chocolates, sweets and some whistle lips.

Natalia Celemin is the owner and mind behind the party shop Little Lulubel. From travel to clothes to wrapping paper, I am a fan of all things cool and original. Since the arrival of my three children, all girls, I've not given up on my quest for cool but searching high and low for beautiful things has become a bit of an obsession. When I started organising birthday parties for our girls, I was a working mum who found it incredibly frustrating and time-consuming to have to go to several shops or websites to find all I need to throw them the best party I could. It didn't take long to discover that I was not alone. Parents everywhere were telling me they were stressed trying to find the time and energy to try to make their kid's party special. And so the idea of this one-stop shop children's party website, Little Lulubel, was born.
