I’m always looking for unusual presents for my children and godchildren, and if it’s a personalised present, even better!
Super-mum Cornelia Colonius, mother to four under six year, found time in her very busy schedule to pop in and see us last week, to tell us all about her brilliant venture ‘Once Upon A Photo‘. Once Upon A Photo’s range of personalised books and photos depict classic tales and adventures with your child at the forefront.
My children have always been fascinated by fairytales and every child has their favourite book and character. Once Upon A Photo offer up few exciting options depending on your time and budget. The biggest package includes a fantastic studio experience, combining artistic photographs of your children set within beautiful illustrations in their very own personalised storybook.
If you don’t have time on your hands, Cornelia is launching a new service whereby you send in eleven images of your child, preferably dressed to suit the story you choose. She then cuts away the background, and voila, they’re sitting within the story or poem.
There’s something for everyone. From Alice in Wonderland to Little Red Riding Hood to The Dragon Egg, a Pirate’s Adventure, and my favourite, Superhero Kidastic. Besides making a unique gift for a special occasion, it’s a brilliant way to engage your children in reading.
I have to say, I love the bespoke mounted frames, which would make a lovely addition to any room. Once Upon A Photo is gathering quite a following, with mummy bloggers including the brilliant Mother Pukka, Kensington Mums and the exclusive Maggie & Rose club in London.
