It has been a while since I set up an imaginative play scenario. This pet parlour imaginative play set up was just what BB needed this week after school. It was a very welcome distraction from the constant plea to watch TV.

I raided YC’s doll collection to find some of her doll’s brushes and cream bottles to add to the set up. Then I set up the pet parlour on a table for BB to find. I also added some paper and pen so that he could create a sign for his shop and anything else he might want to make with it. As he loves playing with money and his cash register, I added that too, that way he could charge me for using his services.
The play set up was a huge success. We played with it all week. The only thing we put away each night were the teddies, they needed to go back up to his bedroom.
