For this instalment of things to make with craft sticks we made our own pieces of abstract art.  EC decided that he wanted to try spelling out my name with them, so he created a beautiful piece of work using my name, which now hangs proudly in my room with all their masterpieces that they have done for me.

You will need:

  • Craft sticks
  • PVA Glue
  • String

Basically all you need to do is stick your craft sticks together in whatever way please you most.  If you are having trouble getting a piece to stick, just apply pressure for 30secs.  It is important not to move your art until it has completely dried or it may fall to pieces.  Once it is all dry, tie a piece of string around it and find a place to hang the works of art.

This craft may help develop:

  • Abstract thinking
