Our Shortlist Of The Best Reusable Nappies 2024

We’re here to recommend the best reusable nappies to try with your baby this year, and here’s why.

In the UK alone, it’s estimated that nearly 3 billion nappies are thrown away each year. That’s a grand total of 8 million nappies each day, each taking up to 500 years to biodegrade. Staggering stats, we think you’ll agree.

There are no two ways around it, your baby is going to go through A LOT of nappies in the first few years of their lives, and making the switch to reusable will not only be kinder to the environment, but they’ll cost a lot less too.

What’s more, the best reusable nappies are just as easy to change as disposables.

Starter Kit, The Nappy Den

Kits include items in the birth to potty sizing, which may vary across different brands. Nappies can be pocket, all in one, all in 2, and will always be a complete nappy.

The benefits of starting with a kit means you have a variety of options to try out on your little one. Coupled with huge savings from buying separately, each kit comes with a fit guide and how to wash your nappies.

Reusable Cloth Nappy, Kit and Kin

Kit and Kin’s reusable cloth nappy is made with Econyl®, which to you and I, is regenerated nylon from reclaimed fishing nets and other nylon waste.

Abandoned fishing nets and gear are a deadly form of plastic pollution, killing and injuring more than 100,000 whales, dolphins, seals and turtles every year – so recovering them not only protects natural resources but also saves our wildlife.

We’re huge fans of Kit and Kin and we think the designs are completely adorable.

Buzzy Bee, TotsBots

TotsBots source materials as locally as possible and manufacture all of their nappies and accessories right here in the UK. Wherever possible, they ship goods by surface, using less fuel and creating less carbon emission.

Their packaging is reusable wherever possible, and the multi-packs come in a handy zipped PVC bag, great for all those pens and crayons that can accumulate! Single cloth nappies and wraps are packed in oxy-biodegradable packaging.

Reusable Nappy, Bambino Mio

This all-one-nappy from Bambino Mio is one of the easiest reusable nappies to use. It’s one size which means it will grow with your little one from baby all the way through toddler. You can also find them everywhere in your local supermarket!

Sustainability is at the root of all of Bambino Mio’s products. With responsible manufacturing processes, they make sure their products are designed to last. They’re busy working with NGOs, local and national governments, and policymakers to raise awareness about the benefits of reusable nappies.

Cloth Reusable Nappies, Pim Pam

If you’re looking to use reusable nappies for your baby, check out Pim Pam.

Pim Pam specialises in pocket nappies, which come with a waterproof shell adorned with a charming print and fasten with adjustable snaps. Each nappy is lined with super-soft microfleece to keep baby’s skin dry and wicks away the moisture to the absorbent part of the nappy. The nappies come in ‘one-size-fits-most’ (8-10lbs to 35lbs), designed to grow with a newborn until they are potty-trained.

Baba + Boo’s pocket nappies are easy to use and come in newborn and birth-to-potty sizes for a perfect fit every time. Ethically made, these nappies are gentle on little bottoms and kind to the planet too.

Onesize Pocket Nappy, Little Lamb Nappies

The covers of these onesize pocket nappies are made from stretchy knit and coupled with a clever snap configuration so you can alter the size and fit as your baby grows.

The pocket on the inside of the nappy lets you slide in the absorbent bamboo boosters prior to fitting them onto your baby. Pocket nappies were developed from the all-in-one style, where the layered absorber was sewn inside, but they took an age to dry, the Onesize Pocket Nappy is the perfect solution to turning washing around fast.

Tickle Tots 2’s, Tickle Tots

The Tickle Tots 2’s is a two-part nappy system consisting of an outer waterproof shell with ‘snap in’ absorbent boosters.

The shells can be used a couple of times before being washed by simply wiping them down between changes (if not soiled or wet) and snapping in a clean set of boosters. This makes it a very versatile nappy. Each shell comes with a set of two boosters, one large and one small, these can be used alone or snapped together for maximum absorbency. The boosters are made from bamboo fabric and are super soft and absorbent.

This is a birth to potty nappy with rise snaps on the front to adjust the size to fit your baby from approx. 9lbs – 35lbs.

Pop-in Single Bamboo Nappy, Close

Pop-in nappies are designed to provide the ultimate in reliability and protection both day and night, thanks to the renowned double leg gusset and thirsty bamboo soakers and boosters which are up to four times more absorbent than cotton alone. Pop-in bamboo nappies are also extremely soft and gentle against your baby’s delicate skin.

The super-slim daytime nappy quickly converts for dream-filled nights with a specially designed nighttime booster, this clever booster adds in the extra absorbency needed to last overnight once they are sleeping through!
