S-P’s Fashion Director, Sam Jones, is used to travelling for work; globe trotting to scout the best holiday fashion pieces to share with you. As mum to the gorgeous Fox, jet setting has demanded a few tweaks to her travel packing and prep regime.
Hands-free My absolute must-do is a cross body bag so I’ve got my hands free. I can deal with the baby, grab my mobile, hold my passport and all the other things us multi-tasking women need both hands for. These days I don’t travel without my Sophie Hulme leather cross body bag – it’s great to hold those essentials, documents, lipstick, iPhone, passport and of course a pack of wet wipes.
Great fit The art of packing for me is fitting everything into my Missoni for Bric’s wheelie case, it’s glamorous and practical. My rule is if it doesn’t all fit in this, and that includes Fox’s clothes, then I’m taking too much and I need to re-edit.
Beauty bits Aesop’s Ginger Flight Therapy keeps me calm. I’m not a great flier despite travelling so much for work. It also helps to de-stress me when travelling with child, and Fox loves playing with the bottle. BECCA Beach Tint is another great lifesaver. A dab on cheeks and lips just adds a hit of colour if it’s been an early check-in.
Instant glamour cheats A Panama hat. It’s almost like putting on a disguise. It will get you anywhere no matter how tired you’re looking or feeling. A delicate scarf to swathe around your neck is another modern day celebrity airport disguise. What I love about this is it also doubles as a snuggle wrap when Fox is in my lap.
My must do Footwear through the airports… flats, flats, flats… ballerina pumps every time. French brand, Bagllerina has been picked up by French Vogue and made it swiftly onto our site. Ballet pumps that can be folded in half. Yes please!
You know what, if you forget something it’s not the end of the world!
