Sue Palmer is a freelance literacy specialist, writer, presenter and ‘childhood campaigner’.  Over the last thirty years she has produced over two hundred books and TV programmes, mostly on primary literacy, and worked with many organisations, including the Department for Education, the National Literacy Trust and the BBC. She’s also written hundreds of articles for the national and educational press and is a popular speaker in the UK and beyond.

Her best-selling book Toxic Childhood sparked a national debate on the nature of childhood in the UK, and has since been followed by Detoxing Childhood, 21st Century Boys and 21st Century Girls.
