My sister has just had another baby, so we’ve been thinking a lot about interiors recently. It was very apt to be invited along to the exclusive launch of Stokke Home at The Baby Show London last Friday morning.
We’ve always been huge fans of Stokke, from their Trip Trapp chairs to their beautiful Crusi strollers, they never fail to disappoint, with timeless designs that promise to last generations, so I was very excited to see what they’d reveal at the show, and I wasn’t disappointed.
The modular nursery line Stokke Home is described as ‘the little nursery with big possibilities’ and I couldn’t agree more. The concept is simple; the products are designed to grow with your baby and adapt to their changing needs as they grow from newborns into toddlers, and from toddlers into young children.
Stokke Home consists of a portable crib, a bed, a dresser and a versatile changer that transforms into a desk. With its sheltered roof cover, the cot / bed resembles a house, with its cosy windows, and apex roof, inspired by the popular child’s play of building huts or forts. The textiled roof and solid bed frame makes the bed a great place for children and parents to hang out together, to play games, or read books before bed. The neutral colours used in this range are beautifully calm, creating the perfect space for your little one.
When you’re expecting your first child, it might not occur to you to think past the first precious few months, but with the Stokke Home line you’re investing in a great nursery that will last well beyond the first couple of years, and it’ll be one you’ll find very hard to part with!
