I asked the amazing Kasimira to help me organise my son’s 5th birthday a few weeks ago and they were totally brilliant.  We worked together to create the perfect party and my son loved every minute. Something I’m often asked about is where to throw a good party in London.  I always used to do it at home with family and a few friends but as soon as they went to nursery and school and started having hoards of friends, that wasn’t so easy! Anyway, I asked them to do a little post for me on great venues for a perfect kids party.  I hope you find it useful.  I’m already looking in to The Loft for our next big do!

The Pelham

With a bright, tasteful interior and floor to ceiling windows, the interconnecting Gallery 1 and Gallery 2 at the Pelham Hotel offer a perfect backdrop for a kid’s party. These two rooms (which can host up top 60 guests standing) can be hired out a very reasonable rate and you can use as much or as little of their lovely furniture as you like. The staff at the Pelham are really great to work with, the food is delicious and menus flexible, and the location is fantastic! Here is a pic from a recent ‘makeover’ themed party we held at the Pelham.

The Bvlgari

Private movie parties are becoming so popular and what better place to host one than at the Bvlgari Knightsbridge’s Screening Room. Again the staff extremely are helpful and the cinema snack menu is plentiful! You can take your pick of which movie to screen and can also run 3D films for that extra special touch. Hire of the 47 seat private cinema also comes with exclusive access to an adjoining foyer room where parents can relax with a glass during the movie, or you can use the adjoining rooms for pre/post movie activities.

Two of our other favourite venue for a trendy private cinema party are the Firmdale’s Soho Hotel and The Electric, Notting Hill.

Loft Studios

Maybe not an obvious choice for a children’s party venue, but Studio 4 at Loft Studios has so much character and lots of space for kids to run around in. The studio lots to offer in terms of furniture and/or equipment, and the venue manager is very happy to help with any special requests. This space is a quirky studio with walls of exposed brick and beautiful wooden beams. It’s a very flexible space which can be decorated to fit any theme (see pic below of a recent superhero party we created here), and they have kitchen facilities where your chosen caterer to work their magic! There are many other spaces within the Loft Studio complex available to hire, also at great rates and they are able to section off larger spaces to create a more intimate feel for those smaller parties.

The Worx

A ‘blank canvas venue’ which means you can totally run wild with your imagination and these studios can be completely styled to suit any theme (with the right help of course!). The studios vary in size so you will be sure to find one that suits your numbers and party format. One of the larger rooms also comes with access to the courtyard space, perfect for a party in the summer holidays.

All Star Lanes

All Star Lanes have a few venues around London including Brick Lane, Holborn and Bayswater. The joy of this bowling brand is that you can eat, drink and bowl in style all in one place. They have lots of lanes available for hire, or fabulous private rooms for a more ‘exclusive’ party experience. This venue is often very popular for our kids party and it’s great fun for the adults too!
