I’ve been desperate for the kids to join the Toy Detective experience since I heard about it and they had an opening a few weekends ago.  It was my wedding anniversary so Nanny Anita set off with the children for a magical adventure before the store even opens!!!!! We invited their best friends and none of them have stopped talking about it since.

Mini harrods is a must to sign up to for oodles of fun events for the children and the whole family.  They have so much on over the weekends and school holidays, and my daughter even got a little card on her birthday with a special £10 credit.

I asked Anita to do a little write up to elaborate a bit on the whole experience.

Toy Detective

On the last Sunday of every month Mini Harrods (you must be a Mini Harrods member to attend) holds a toy detective experience for a group of 12 children aged 5-10 years old. The experience is incredibly popular and is often booked up quickly; Mini Harrods does have a waiting list and highly recommends putting your name down on it so that you get priority notice for future dates.

I got to take my charges to this Toy Detective experience a few weekends ago and we all had such a great time. You are met at the door and given your own special detective badges before meeting the detective. During the event the children have to solve a crime that has taken place with the help of the detective, the hapless victim and reporter, who is on hand to take some snap shots for you. The children have 90 minutes to solve a number of tasks to gain the clues to help crack the case before the store opens.

I couldn’t help but watch on with envy as EC and YC got really involved, they truly loved the whole thing and have been talking about when we can go back and do it again.
