This week is Walk to School Week, part of the Walk to School campaign, encouraging parents and children to leave the car at home and take the chance to get outside and get fit by walking to and from school.

Every year, as part of National Walking Month, Living Streets brings together over half a million school children and their teachers and parents.

To mark the week, Living Streets has launched a new report, Putting Pupils First, which sets a challenge to the Prime Minister to support them in their vision that every child that can walk to school, does so.

I for one, think it’s a great idea, so if you’re able to, get walking!
