The new Maxi-Cosi Laika has been cleverly designed for urban living. It’s a first for popular buggy brand Maxi Cosi: the fast one-hand fold Laika is super-compact and extremely agile, perfect for navigating narrow city streets and busy public transport.
Its attractive design with luxurious leatherette handles and (removable) bumper bar make a striking contrast to the nomad fabric colours the Laika comes in.
The Laika’s world facing lie-flat and multi-reclinable padded seat is perfect for older babies wanting a nap on the go. The width of the seat provides plenty of room for bigger babas, but the height of the seat back may need testing, as taller babies might need a little more support if they’re still needing to sleep regularly in the buggy. However, there is an adjustable leg rest to adapt to growing babies and provide extra comfort.
The Laika’s extendable and protective canopy and rain cover protect against all weathers, and the stroller’s padded five-point harness is easy to adjust and secure in place.
The wheels on the Laika are fairly small and the ride can at times be a little bumpy, but for city streets this buggy is ideal. The wheels turn easily which makes navigating a busy city so much easier. The easy-to-use braking system is operated by a small lever situated by the back wheels. For those out shopping, the Laika’s basket is fairly small, but suitable for your essentials.
What’s impressive about the Laika is that it takes up the smallest amount of storage space, perfect for those with smaller cars. It’s quick one-hand fold and shoulder strap make the Laika a brilliant option for travel.
The trend for urban lightweight and compact strollers continues, and the Maxi Cosi Laika has joined the best of them. We’d recommend this to city dwellers, or those looking for a second buggy for zippy trips out, and holidays abroad.
