Young V&A’s Exhibition ‘Making Egypt’

Young V&A’s Making Egypt is the UK’s first child-centered exhibition exploring creativity in ancient Egypt, blending artefacts, contemporary design, and hands-on activities to inspire young visitors.
Featuring over 200 objects spanning 5,500 years, highlights include a painted sarcophagus, ancient funerary masks, and modern pop culture icons like Moon Knight, Minecraft, and The Mummy (1999). Visitors can decipher hieroglyphs, design amulets, and explore ancient Egyptian art techniques through interactive displays.
With contributions from designers like Azza Fahmy and Marjan van Aubel, plus new artist film commissions, Making Egypt brings the rich artistic legacy of ancient Egypt into the present.
