We took the Renault Kadjar Signature Nav dCi 130 out for a spin to test out its family friendly credentials. Another compact SUV based on the Nissan Qashqai model, the interior of the Kadjar is spacious, and very comfy. The raised driving position and high and wide console makes it super easy and fun to drive. The Kadjar has a soft touch dashboard, chrome finish and leather covered handles and steering wheel, for that super slick look. It’s panoramic glass sunroof makes for a fun experience for the kids in the back.
The multimedia system in the Kadjar is quite brilliant. It’s Bose sound system was very impressive, with a total of 7 speakers throughout the car, 4 front, one centre, and 2 in the rear – fab for keeping the kids amused!
The Kadjar is a fool proof car to drive, with a visio system, sat nav, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, emergency break assist, hill start assist, eco mode, dual AC, cruise control and a speed limiter. The car even benefits from traffic sign recognition and automatic high/low beams. The Kadjar does so much of the thinking for you, which is great if you’ve got three kids in the back! There’s plenty of storage, and a large boot that increases in size with the back seats down.
The exterior of the Renault Kadjar is just as impressive, with alloy wheels in 17 or 19 inch, a distinctive grille “athletic shoulders” and c-shaped LED daytime running lights. We drove the flame red model, and our conclusion is that it’s totally family friendly, and a very fun vehicle to drive.
