Minute to win it games are simple team games that are normally timed. They make really fun party games or even for a family games night. We did ours for a lock down birthday party.
Make sure you follow my activities board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
These games are meant to be a minute long, but you can always change that depending on the age of children playing. For some of ours we did it with out a timer and it was just the quickest team won.
You will need:
One of those cups needs to be a different colour; you could just colour in the rim of the cup. Put this coloured cup at the bottom of the pile of cups. The point of this game is to move the top cup to the bottom, one at a time, until the different coloured cup is at the top.
You will need:
This game is all about making a pyramid of cups and then taking it down so that all the cups are back in one pile. The top cup of the pyramid needs to stay in place for a couple of seconds before you start to take it down.
You will need:
Start by putting the ball into one of the feet of the tights. Tie the pair tights around the waist of the player so that the leg with the ball in is hanging down in front. Line up the cups, on a table or the floor, in front of them. When the timer starts they have to knock of the cups using the ball in the tights. They can only use their hips to make the ball swing back and forward, and they can only knock one cup down at a time.
You will need:
Each player has to put the craft stick in their mouth and stack the dice on top of each other at the end of craft stick. The player must hold the stacked dice at the end of craft stick for 5 seconds to win.
In this game you will have one minute to sort out all the coloured sweets into different piles. Remember; no eating the sweets until afterwards.
You will need:
Each person has to place an Oreo (or something similar) on their forehead. Then just using their facial muscles they have to get the cookie from their forehead into their mouths. If it falls off of their face they have to start again.
You will need:
Whoever builds the biggest tower in a minute, without falling down, wins.
You will need:
Divide the cards between the 2 teams. Each team has to make as many houses of cards as possible within the minute time frame. A house of cards consists of 2 cards leaning against each other in a triangle.
You will need:
This is a whole team game. Each player takes it in turn to throw a card into his or her container. The team with the most cards in the container at the end of a minute wins.
You will need:
The player needs to move as many pieces of paper into their bowl using the suction of the straw. No hands allowed. The team with the most bits of paper in their bowl wins.
