The Beauty Toolkit: Which Tinted Moisturiser Is Right For You?

We’ve tried our fair share of tinted moisturisers. Each time the sun comes out and the weather gets too hot for a heavy foundation, we turn to the tint. Some have clogged up our pores or looked clumpy and obvious against our skin. Others have worked like a dream. Here are our top picks.

The ‘all skin types’ one: Boots No. 7 Triple Protection

This No7 is a firm favourite. It moisturises, offers UVA protection, and provides skin with even colour coverage. We love how healthy it makes skin look and feel. We reckon it suits all skin types, but in particular those with sensitive skin. You don’t need to use a lot to achieve good coverage so this tube will last ages!

The one for oily skin: Caudalie Radiance Tinted Moisturiser SPF20

We love this Caudalie moisturiser for its awesome colour correcting properties. If your skin is often subject to imperfections, dark spots or inflammation, this is the tinted moisturiser for you. It’s oil-free, which means you can achieve glowing and dewy skin without looking shiny and feeling greasy.

The sheer one: Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint

This lovely Liz Earle skin tint offers the ultimate natural-looking finish. It’s a delicious blend of avocado, vitamin E, and borage (all skincare buzzwords at the moment!). The smooth, creamy texture means it blends particularly well and leaves skin looking dewy and healthy.

The hydrating one: Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser

It’s rare for a moisturiser to be available in more than a couple of colours but HydraQuench comes in a range of seven shades. It’s easy to apply and offers a radiant finish. We love that it also has anti-pollution properties!

The anti-ageing one: Sisley Tinted Moisturiser

This cream feels and acts very much like a day cream but with an added hint of colour to boost complexion and leave skin looking and feeling radiant. We love the way this one smoothes over lines and covers blemishes. What’s more, it contains sunflower and plum oil, both of which have anti-ageing properties.

The all-natural one: Origins Vita Zing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser

This isn’t the most tinted moisturiser on the market, but that’s why we love it. This Origins moisturiser does all the hydrating, energising and protecting with a subtle added tint. Origins describe it as “a healthy hit of radiance that mimics the glow you get from a week’s vacation” We couldn’t agree more!
