Black Glue Art

We have done black glue art before, but it was a long time ago and was Easter themed.  This craft does take some time to do because you need to allow for drying time.

Make sure you follow my painting board on Pinterest for more ideas.  Don’t forget to save the pin for later.

To make your own black glue art you will need:

  • Canvas board
  • Black paint
  • Elmer’s glue
  • Paint

Add your black paint to your glue.  The Elmer’s glue bottles work like a treat for this craft.

On your canvas you can either go straight in with using the black paint to create the design.  Or you can draw it first and then go over with it the glue.

Leave it to dry.  We left ours overnight.

When it has completely dried, paint it.  We used watercolour paints on our ones.

If you enjoyed making this black glue art, be sure to check out my galaxy painting, taste safe paint for toddlers, and stained-glass night jars.

Pin for later.
