CYBEX are always at the top of their game so it’s no surprise that recent ADAC testing has catapulted two of their infant car seats into leading ranks in their respective seat categories, Baby and Baby and Toddler. The Cloud Z2 and Sirona Z2 i-Size have received three top ratings, and the Cloud z2 without base has received the best-ever rating for any seat in the sub-category Safety. Pretty impressive news!
If you’re a new parent shopping for a car seat for your baby, you might be wondering what the ADAC test is. German-based ADAC is an internationally recognised independent testing body, renowned for its rigorous car seat crash testing approach. Car seats are analysed on safety, ergonomics and pollutants. They’re put through a comprehensive range of front and side-impact crash tests that exceed standard EU procedures. For an infant car seat to reach a good overall score it must perform well in all three parts of the test.
CYBEX Adac scores are as follows: The CYBEX Cloud Z2 i-Size infant car seat with base and without received the top rating of “Good” in the “baby” category with a score of 1,7 (0.6 being best, 5.5 worst). The CYBEX Sirona Z2 i-Size achieved an overall rating of “Good” (2.3). CYBEX Platinum Line seats reached a particularly impressive standing due to the excellent safety rating with “very good” (1.0) for the Cloud Z2 without base and a 1.7 (“good”) for the Sirona Z2. Both seats achieved a “good” (1.7) rating for brilliant results in ergonomics. Finally, the “very good” (1.0) for Cloud Z2 and Sirona Z2 received in the section pollutants rounded the overall successful results.
CYBEX is nothing but consistent in creating top safety products for little ones, and this is the most recent coup in a series of incredible achievements for the brand. In May 2022, CYBEX lead the car seat competition across all seats with its win for the Anoris T i-Size. The historic result of the in-house developed airbag technology brought the testing association to provide it with an overall rating of 1.5 (1 best, 5 fail). This result was the best rating ever for a forward-facing seat.

Sirona Z2 is an i-Size child seat suitable for children up to 105 cm tall and weighing up to 18 kg. The seat is designed for rear-facing travel until the child is 15 months old, after which the Sirona Z2 can be rotated in the direction of travel.
Newborns can ride safely and securely with the removable newborn inlay, and enjoy a flat recline angle. There are five tilt angle settings to cater for older babies and toddlers, so your little one can enjoy the comfiest car journeys.
CYBEX have incorporated energy reduction technology to reduce the forces of a frontal impact, protecting the child’s neck, and the integrated L.S.P. linear side impact protection and energy-absorbing shell provides extra protection in the event of a side impact.

The Cloud Z2 is an i-Size infant carrier suitable for newborns and babies up to 2 years of age. (From 45 cm to a maximum of 87 cm and up to 13 kg.)
