For Christmas BB had an advent calendar that came with these cardboard figures that you put together. They were pretty cool, which made me think about turning them into some sort of play set up. Unfortunately, by the time I got back from my Christmas break pretty much all of the figures had been destroyed or pieces of them missing. Not to give up on the idea, I made my own cardboard winter play scene.
Make sure you follow my activities board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
Before I started, I did a quick search to see if anyone else had any pre-made print outs. Thankfully, Pinterest never fails. I used these templates then added some of my own.
I wont lie, it takes a while to prepare this. I did it over a couple of days when I had some free time to cut all the pieces out.
When I was finally ready to set it up, I added a few Playmobil figures, some fabric, and other items for BB to use if he wanted to add them. He also went and got other items like the pompoms to enhance his play. This is the sort of set that is easy to leave out for little ones to continue their play at a later time.
They are all having marshmallows around a campfire.
