What’s better than getting chocolate on Valentine’s Day? We’ve been making some lovely chocolate hearts as sweet little presents to give out to friends and family for Valentine’s Day.
Make sure you follow my Valentine’s Day board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
Fill the bottom of each heart with sprinkles/dried raspberries/100s and 1000s.
Next melt your chocolate in a pot on top of a pan of boiling water. If you have a microwave, it is much quicker to do it in that.
Spoon the melted chocolate into the heart moulds. If you want to do layers of chocolate then let one layer set slightly before adding another type of chocolate.
In some of our white chocolate ones we hid some milk chocolate buttons.
Put them into the fridge to set.
I made some origami boxes to put them in (you can find a simple box origami tutorial here) so my charge’s could hand them out to friends and family. We have also just had some at home for a treat.
If you enjoyed making these chocolate hearts be sure to check out my chocolate bark, marbled hearts, and a jar full of love.
