These Christmas straw shooters are such a fun little craft and activity to do. I am pretty sure that most people will have made these in one way or another without even realising it. Have you ever been given a straw in a wrapper that you tore the bottom off and then blew the rest of the wrapper at someone or something? That is basically what this craft/activity is.
Make sure you follow my Christmas board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
You will need:
Paper straws are great for this as I find that they are slightly bigger and they are more economically friendly.
First draw some small Christmassy pictures on a piece of paper and cut them out. Don’t draw them too big or they won’t fly so well.
Using a spare bit of paper fold it over the end of the straw and tape it together. It shouldn’t be too tight or it will have difficulty coming off the straw when you try to shoot it off.
Finally tape the cover that you just made to the back of the picture.
You can use the Christmas straw shooters in games to see who’s goes the furthest or target practice. Or you can do what EC and YC decided to do with them – shoot them at each other! At least they had fun with them, and that is all that really matters.
